Chandler International Film Festival
I volunteered at the Chandler International Film Festival, helping with red carpet coordination and guest experience. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with filmmakers and be part of a welcoming, creative environment. A highlight was witnessing the festival break the Guinness World Record for the most movie posters displayed, a moment I’ll never forget.
Women in Film guest speaker: Christine Vachon
Had the incredible honor of interviewing guest speaker Christen Vachon—one of the first women to truly claim her seat at the table in the film industry. Her groundbreaking work at Killer Films Inc. and A24, along with her dedication to bold, authentic storytelling, continues to pave the way for the next generation of creatives. I was proud to co-lead this conversation alongside Sofia Roberts, President of Hollywood Invades Tempe. As President of Women in Film at ASU, it meant so much to represent our organization during such a powerful and inspiring moment.
"Black Parade: Redefining Excellence"
A vibrant three-day event held during Black History Month, dedicated to celebrating and redefining black excellence. Showcasing diverse talents, it honored the rich cultural heritage and achievements of the black community. Through art, music, and powerful narratives, the three-day event highlighted the resilience and contributions of black individuals, fostering a sense of pride and unity within ASU. As a lead on the event, I gained valuable experience in event management, leadership, and collaboration. These skills, combined with my passion for storytelling, organization, and creativity, have equipped me with the tools necessary to excel in the dynamic and competitive film industry.
ASU Housing First Friday Event
This was an exhilarating end-of-year celebration for college freshmen. It marked their successful completion of the first year and commemorated their achievements. The event featured Waterslides, food, interactive games, and reflections on their transformative journey, fostering a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie among the students. As a lead on the event, I gained valuable experience in event planning, coordination, and team management. These skills, combined with my creativity, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail, have prepared me to thrive in the fast-paced and collaborative environment of the film industry.
